# The Multifamily AI Brief > A free research publication from keepfound on how AI search answers renters' questions: which apartment communities get named, which sources get cited, and what it means for multifamily marketing. The Multifamily AI Brief is a free publication about how apartment communities get discovered, compared, and recommended in AI search. It publishes original tests and practical analysis covering renter questions, local property information, community websites, and AI visibility measurement. It is written for multifamily marketing leaders, operators, property management teams, and lease-up marketers. Its research articles are called field notes and are numbered in order. The full text of every field note is at https://themultifamilyaibrief.com/llms-full.txt. ## Field notes - [Field note 002: Two properties. Similar AI visibility scores. Very different exposure.](https://themultifamilyaibrief.com/articles/two-properties-similar-ai-visibility/): Sep 22, 2026. Two properties had similar scores. Their engine-level exposure looked nothing alike. - Building A finished at 32.2% blended visibility and Building B at 28.5%, just 3.7 percentage points apart. - Building B fell to 5.3% in Perplexity. Its highest engine was 8.3 times its lowest, compared with 1.3 times for Building A. - A blended score is a useful summary, but also look at each engine, your lowest result, and the gap between your highest and lowest engine. - [Field note 001: One renter question. Five AI engines. Different answers.](https://themultifamilyaibrief.com/articles/one-renter-question-five-ai-engines/): Sep 15, 2026. The same apartment search produced different shortlists, different sources, and 3 distinct visibility outcomes. - Five AI engines answered the same renter question. On August 31 they named 26 distinct communities, and only 7 appeared in more than one answer. - Only 1 of the 5 engines consistently credited community-owned websites. - Named, credited, and recommended are 3 separate outcomes. A single visibility score would hide what happened. ## Key terms The Brief treats these as separate outcomes rather than a single visibility score: - Named: the apartment community appeared in the answer. - Credited: the community or its owned website was identified as a source. - Recommended: the answer presented the community as an option that fit the renter's request. ## How the research works - [Editorial standards and methodology](https://themultifamilyaibrief.com/methodology/): how research is conducted, how renter questions are chosen, how answers are interpreted, and its limitations. - Each study discloses its collection dates, AI engines, question, market, sample size, and limitations. - Findings are scoped to the test that produced them and describe what was recorded on the dates stated. They are not universal conclusions about AI systems or the multifamily industry, and one response is not treated as a permanent AI ranking. - Individual apartment communities are generally reported in aggregate or anonymized. When citing a finding, please include the field note's test dates and link to the field note. ## Questions ### What is The Multifamily AI Brief?
